Rebecca Peters is a seasoned communications professional and dedicated public servant with nearly a decade of experience navigating the intersection of policy, politics and media. A Tennessee native and graduate of Lipscomb University, Rebecca has built a career defined by strategic storytelling and a deep commitment to the people of the Volunteer State.
Most recently, Rebecca served as the Deputy Director of Communications for former Congressman Mark Green, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security. During her tenure in Congress, she acted as a primary spokesperson and media liaison, bridging the gap between complex federal legislation and local community impact. Earlier in her career, Rebecca gained invaluable experience in the private and political sectors, serving as a key member of Tennessee’s 50th Governor Bill Lee’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign and his transition team. Her background also includes extensive public affairs work for a diverse range of clients across the healthcare, energy and non-profit sectors.
A recognized leader in her field, Rebecca is a graduate of Leadership Tennessee NEXT (Class V) and was selected as an America’s Future Writing Fellow in 2024. She remains deeply invested in the future of her state through her work with non-profits such as TN Achieves, which supports higher education access for students across Tennessee.
